Job Description
Are you a motivated and reliable individual looking for a driving role with a leading logistics company? DPD is seeking dedicated Multi-Drop Delivery Drivers to join our team in Preston. We provide the van, so you don’t need to worry about vehicle costs or maintenance. This role offers flexible working patterns and weekly pay, making it ideal for those seeking a balance between work and personal life. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of parcels to residential and business customers across designated routes, ensuring excellent customer service at every stop. Full training on our systems and delivery processes will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided delivery van to transport parcels.
- Perform multi-drop deliveries and collections to various addresses within a specified geographical area.
- Ensure all parcels are delivered accurately and on time, following established routes and schedules.
- Provide excellent customer service, interacting professionally and courteously with customers.
- Complete all necessary delivery documentation and electronic records accurately.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Handle parcels with care, ensuring they arrive in perfect condition.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- At least 1 year of continuous driving experience.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Ability to lift and carry parcels of varying weights and sizes.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery role is an advantage.
- Good geographical knowledge of the Preston and surrounding Lancashire area.
- Experience using handheld delivery devices or similar technology.
