Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Windsor, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain various CNC machines, including mills and lathes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
  • Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM).
  • Select and manage tooling, fixtures, and work holding devices.
  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet precise quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot machine errors, program issues, and production problems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and report any necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and part quality.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist/Programmer.
  • Proficiency in G-code programming and machine setup.
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with various inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or trade certification in Machining, Tool and Die, or a related field.
  • Experience with Mastercam or SolidWorks CAM software.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak controls.
  • Previous experience in the automotive, aerospace, or heavy machinery manufacturing sectors.
