Job Description
Are you a friendly, enthusiastic individual looking to kick-start your career in retail? Currys PC World in Kensington, London, is seeking a Part-Time Retail Advisor. This is an entry-level position where no previous experience is necessary – we believe in potential and will provide full comprehensive training to help you succeed. You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming environment for our customers, assisting them with product inquiries, and helping them find solutions that enhance their lives through technology. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage with customers on the sales floor.
- Listen to customer needs and recommend suitable products and services.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
- Maintain an organised and appealing store environment, including merchandising and stock replenishment.
- Learn about new products and technologies through ongoing training.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store targets and provide excellent service.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- A genuine interest in helping customers and providing great service.
- No prior retail experience is required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- A basic understanding of technology products (e.g., phones, laptops, TVs) is a bonus but not essential.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., hospitality, volunteering) is a plus.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications, particularly in English and Maths.
