Job Description
We are excited to offer an entry-level Letterpress & Screenprinting Intern position to an enthusiastic individual eager to learn the foundational skills of traditional printmaking. This hands-on internship is perfect for someone with little to no prior experience, providing comprehensive training in all aspects of our workshop operations. You will gain invaluable experience working alongside experienced printmakers, assisting with projects from design setup to final production. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead printmakers with setting up and operating letterpress and screenprinting equipment.
- Learn and practice proper ink mixing techniques for various print projects.
- Prepare screens for screenprinting, including coating, exposure, and washout.
- Maintain a clean and organized studio, including equipment maintenance and supply management.
- Assist with cutting, finishing, and packaging printed materials.
- Support inventory management of paper, ink, and other consumables.
- Learn about different paper types, their properties, and best uses in printmaking.
- Contribute to general studio tasks and assist with client orders as needed.
Required Skills
