Job Description
The University of Glasgow is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Campus Recreation & Intramurals Intern to join our dynamic Sports & Recreation team. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about sports, student engagement, and recreation programming to gain hands-on experience within a leading academic institution. You will play a vital role in supporting the planning, promotion, and execution of various intramural sports leagues, recreational activities, and campus events. We are committed to fostering a vibrant and active campus community, and this internship is designed to provide comprehensive training and mentorship in sports administration and event management. No prior professional experience is required; we are looking for keen learners eager to contribute and develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the organisation and administration of intramural sports leagues and tournaments.
- Support the setup and breakdown of equipment for various recreational activities and events.
- Help promote campus recreation programs through social media, flyers, and on-campus presence.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operations and participant satisfaction.
- Assist in data collection and basic reporting on program participation and feedback.
- Contribute creative ideas for new recreational activities and student engagement initiatives.
- Liaise with student participants, volunteers, and staff to ensure effective communication.
- Perform general administrative duties as required by the Campus Recreation team.
