Job Description
Stantec is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our dynamic team in Naperville, IL. This pivotal role involves leading complex architectural projects from conceptual design through construction administration, ensuring delivery of high-quality, innovative, and sustainable solutions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in project management, client relations, and mentorship within our architectural practice. Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and documentation efforts for complex projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects.
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering strong relationships.
- Mentor junior architects and contribute to the professional development of the team.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Contribute to business development activities and proposal preparation.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Architect (AIA or equivalent registration).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction techniques, and project delivery methods.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- LEED AP accreditation or other sustainability credentials.
- Experience with a variety of project types (e.g., commercial, residential, institutional).
- Experience in sustainable design principles and practices.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
