Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Virtual Customs & Trade Assistant. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in international trade, customs compliance, and global logistics. As a fully remote position, you will work from home, providing essential support to our customs brokerage and trade compliance operations. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success. You will assist with data entry, documentation review, and basic customs procedures, playing a crucial role in facilitating smooth international shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and submission of customs documentation for import and export shipments.
- Perform accurate data entry into customs and trade compliance systems.
- Review shipping documents for accuracy and completeness, identifying any discrepancies.
- Communicate with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status and documentation requirements.
- Support the resolution of minor customs clearance issues under supervision.
- Maintain organized digital records of customs declarations and related correspondence.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance knowledge of customs regulations and trade policies.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
