Job Description

Are you passionate about wine or eager to learn? Berry Bros. & Rudd is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging individual to join our team as a Winery Tasting Room Pourer for weekend shifts in our new Battersea tasting experience. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to dive into the world of wine without prior experience. We provide full training on our extensive portfolio, tasting techniques, and exceptional customer service. You’ll be the face of our brand, guiding guests through memorable tasting experiences and sharing the stories behind our exquisite selections. Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly to the tasting room and provide an exceptional hospitality experience.
  • Conduct guided wine tastings, educating visitors on our wines, their origins, and unique characteristics.
  • Operate POS system for sales of wine bottles, merchandise, and tasting fees.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting tasting room environment.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setting up and breaking down tasting stations.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Restock wine and merchandise as needed, ensuring a visually appealing display.
  • Actively learn about new wines, varietals, and vintages to continuously enhance product knowledge.
  • Promote club memberships and special events.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and grace.
  • Adhere to all responsible alcohol service regulations.

  • Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service roles (even if not wine-related).
  • Basic knowledge of wine regions or varietals.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
