Job Description
Are you passionate about bikes but lack professional repair experience? Superior Spokes Bicycle Co. is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Bicycle Repair Mechanic (Trainee). This is a fantastic opportunity for an entry-level candidate to receive comprehensive, hands-on, paid training from experienced professionals. You will learn the fundamentals of bicycle maintenance, repair, and assembly, ultimately becoming a skilled mechanic. No prior professional experience is required – just a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and a love for cycling.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all provided training sessions, demonstrating a commitment to learning bicycle mechanics.
- Assist senior mechanics with various repair tasks, including tire changes, brake adjustments, and gear tuning.
- Learn to identify common bicycle issues and perform basic diagnostics under supervision.
- Assemble new bicycles from components following established safety and quality guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the service area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers regarding bike care and minor issues.
- Effectively use and care for shop tools and equipment.
