Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our specialized cleaning team as a Pigeon Guano Cleaner. This unique role is critical for maintaining public health and infrastructure integrity in various urban and industrial settings across Fremantle. You will be equipped with full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a Hazmat Suit, and receive comprehensive training to safely and effectively remove hazardous bird droppings. This physically demanding role offers high compensation in recognition of its importance and the specialized nature of the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and removal of pigeon guano from designated areas, including rooftops, ledges, and other confined spaces.
- Strictly adhere to all health and safety protocols, including the correct use, maintenance, and decontamination of Hazmat suits and other PPE.
- Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Prepare work sites by setting up safety barriers and signage.
- Properly dispose of hazardous waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct pre- and post-work site inspections to ensure all safety and cleaning standards are met.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions to the team supervisor promptly.
Required Skills

- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to cleaning tasks.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working at heights or in confined spaces.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
