Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Local Authority Care Home Assistant to join our team in Woking. This is a secure employment opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of elderly and vulnerable residents. You will play a crucial role in providing direct personal care, emotional support, and engaging in daily activities to ensure our residents enjoy a high quality of life within a safe and nurturing environment. Full training will be provided to ensure you have all the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this rewarding role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
- Support residents with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment when necessary.
- Help with meal times, including preparation, serving, and feeding assistance.
- Engage residents in social activities, hobbies, and community outings.
- Administer medication as per care plans and training, maintaining accurate records.
- Monitor and record residents' health status, reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for residents.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Adhere to all health and safety, safeguarding, and care policies and procedures.
