Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Grave Digger to join our Cemeteries team. This essential role involves preparing grave sites, assisting with interments, and maintaining the grounds of our cemeteries. You will be part of a team committed to providing a respectful and dignified service to the community during sensitive times. Key Responsibilities
- Excavating and preparing grave sites manually and with mechanical equipment in accordance with regulations and safety standards.
- Assisting during interment services, ensuring a respectful and dignified process.
- Backfilling grave sites and maintaining surrounding areas neatly.
- Operating and maintaining tools and equipment, including excavators, shovels, and landscaping machinery.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and proper appearance of cemetery grounds.
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Working respectfully and sensitively with bereaved families and funeral directors.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools safely.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or similar outdoor labor roles.
