Job Description
We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and detail-oriented Food Styling Assistant to join our dynamic team in Chesterfield. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone passionate about food, art, and visual media, eager to learn the intricate craft of food styling for commercials. As a Creative Prep Role, you will be instrumental in the behind-the-scenes preparation, ensuring our food stylists have everything they need to bring their visions to life. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior food stylists with the preparation of food items for commercial shoots, ensuring they are camera-ready.
- Clean, chop, cook, and arrange ingredients according to stylist instructions and shoot briefs.
- Manage and organize styling props, utensils, and equipment before, during, and after shoots.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including kitchen areas and styling stations.
- Source and procure specific food items and ingredients as requested for various projects.
- Support with post-shoot cleanup and inventory management of food supplies.
- Learn and apply food safety and hygiene standards in all preparation tasks.
- Contribute creative ideas and a positive attitude to the team environment.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for food, cooking, and visual presentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Basic understanding of kitchen practices and food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
