Job Description
Join our dynamic production team as an Onion Peeling Operative in our state-of-the-art factory environment. This essential role contributes directly to the preparation of high-quality produce for our diverse customer base. We are looking for reliable individuals with a strong work ethic who are ready to learn and contribute to a fast-paced, hygienic food processing operation. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate specialized machinery for peeling and processing onions.
- Manually inspect and sort onions for quality, removing any imperfections.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts.
- Follow production schedules and ensure efficiency in peeling operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with other general production tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina for standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a food production or manufacturing environment (not required).
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
