Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy clinic in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a friendly demeanor, and a genuine love for animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting clients and their pets warmly upon arrival.
- Managing appointment scheduling and client registrations.
- Answering phones, responding to emails, and handling general inquiries.
- Processing payments and managing billing procedures.
- Maintaining accurate client and patient records.
- Assisting with the upkeep and tidiness of the reception area.
- Providing support to veterinary nurses and surgeons as needed.
- Educating clients on basic pet care products and services.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role (minimum 1 year).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with office software and comfortable learning new systems.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or medical office setting.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology.
- Experience with practice management software (e.g., VetSpace, RoboVet).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Customer Service or Business Administration.
