Job Description
We are actively seeking skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanics / Technicians to join our growing team in Boston, MA. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid flushes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
- Document all services performed accurately and clearly.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status and repair needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or Technician
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and equipment
- Solid understanding of automotive systems (engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, electrical)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE certifications (e.g., Master Automobile Technician)
- Experience with specific vehicle brands carried by Herb Chambers (e.g., Toyota, Honda, BMW, Mercedes-Benz)
- Associate's degree or vocational training in automotive technology
