Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our innovative team in Scottsdale, AZ. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and diagnostics, utilizing advanced laboratory techniques and instrumentation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in conducting experiments, analyzing data, and reporting findings that contribute to our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory experiments and procedures, including molecular biology techniques, cell culture, immunoassay development, and clinical sample analysis.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare detailed reports and presentations.
- Develop and validate new assays and methodologies to improve diagnostic capabilities and research outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and thorough laboratory records, ensuring compliance with established protocols and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including research scientists, clinicians, and product development specialists.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and quality control procedures within the laboratory environment.
- Participate in scientific discussions, contribute to publications, and stay current with advancements in the biomedical field.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience in a research or diagnostic setting.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, electrophoresis), cell culture, and immunoassay.
- Experience with laboratory equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex scientific data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience with flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, or next-generation sequencing (NGS).
- Understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA, CAP).
- Publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Experience mentoring junior scientists or technical staff.
