Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and aspiring Jewelry Design & Metalsmithing Intern to join our studio team in Kensington, London. This entry-level internship offers an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a world-renowned luxury jewelry environment. You will work alongside experienced designers and metalsmiths, learning the intricacies of jewelry creation from concept to completion. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop practical skills, understand studio operations, and contribute to the creation of beautiful, high-quality pieces. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent stepping stone for a career in fine jewelry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior metalsmiths and designers with various tasks related to jewelry production and repair.
- Learn and practice fundamental metalsmithing techniques, including soldering, filing, polishing, and stone setting preparation.
- Support the studio with organizational duties, including material inventory, tool maintenance, and general tidiness.
- Observe and document design processes, contributing to project discussions as appropriate.
- Prepare materials for crafting, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Assist in quality control checks for finished and in-progress pieces.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient studio environment.
