Job Description

Are you a passionate and driven individual with a flair for sales and community outreach? NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a proactive Blood Bank Donor Recruiter to join our dedicated team. This exciting role involves engaging with the public, businesses, and community groups to inspire new and existing donors to give blood. You will be instrumental in organizing and attending recruitment events, building relationships, and effectively communicating the life-saving impact of blood donation. This position offers a competitive base salary plus commission, recognizing your direct contribution to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach strategies to attract new blood donors within the Royal Leamington Spa area and surrounding regions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, educational institutions, community organizations, and faith groups to secure donor recruitment opportunities.
• Organize and attend recruitment events, presentations, and awareness campaigns, effectively communicating the need for blood donation and the eligibility criteria.
• Utilize sales techniques to persuade and register potential donors, addressing concerns and providing accurate information.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly donor recruitment targets.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and donor registrations using CRM systems.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective promotional material distribution.
• Provide excellent customer service and follow-up with potential donors.
• Represent NHS Blood and Transplant professionally at all times.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in sales, outreach, community engagement, or a similar public-facing role.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• A valid UK driving license and access to a car for travel to various event locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the healthcare, non-profit, or charitable sector.
• Experience working with CRM software.
• Knowledge of blood donation processes and eligibility criteria (training will be provided).
• A passion for community health and making a difference.
