Job Description
Are you passionate about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and eager to make a tangible difference in your community? The Bath Preservation Trust is seeking a enthusiastic and dedicated STEM Education & Outreach Intern to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in non-profit education, community engagement, and heritage preservation. You will support the development and delivery of engaging STEM-focused educational programs and outreach initiatives, helping us inspire the next generation through the lens of Bath’s unique heritage. No prior professional experience is required; we are looking for a motivated individual ready to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the research, development, and preparation of educational materials and activities for STEM outreach programs.
- Support the delivery of workshops, presentations, and interactive sessions for various age groups, including school children and community groups.
- Contribute to the planning and logistics of outreach events and community engagement activities.
- Help maintain and organize educational resources and equipment.
- Document program outcomes, gather feedback, and assist with reporting on outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with other team members to integrate STEM concepts into existing heritage education initiatives.
- Undertake administrative tasks related to program coordination and communication.
Required Skills
- Enthusiasm and passion for STEM subjects and education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in a STEM field, Education, Heritage Studies, or a related discipline.
- Some previous volunteer or informal experience in education, youth work, or community outreach.
- Familiarity with the history and heritage of Bath.
