Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Remote Public Policy Researcher to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexible hours and a comprehensive pension plan. As a Public Policy Researcher, you will play a crucial role in analyzing public policy issues, conducting in-depth research, and providing actionable insights to inform strategy for our clients in the public sector and non-profit organizations. You will be responsible for understanding complex legislative and regulatory environments, assessing the impact of policy changes, and contributing to reports and presentations that shape public discourse and client decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on a wide range of public policy issues, including social, economic, environmental, and technological policies.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at local, state, federal, and international levels.
- Synthesize complex information from various sources into clear, concise, and actionable reports, briefs, and presentations.
- Develop and utilize quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, including statistical analysis, surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate policy insights into broader consulting projects.
- Present research findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and publications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of public policy trends, research methods, and relevant data sources.
Required Skills

- Proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated understanding of public policy processes and institutions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Law, or a related field.
- Experience with policy modeling or econometric analysis software (e.g., R, Stata, SAS).
- Familiarity with specific policy domains such as healthcare, education, climate change, or technology policy.
- Prior experience in a research-intensive role within a think tank, government agency, or consulting firm.
