Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team in Odesa. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful setup, testing, and handover of new and upgraded industrial equipment and systems across our various operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting commissioning activities, working closely with project teams, contractors, and operational staff. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review commissioning plans, procedures, and test protocols for industrial machinery and control systems.
- Lead and supervise the execution of commissioning activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety standards, project specifications, and timelines.
- Perform functional testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
- Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, contractors, and operations personnel to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth system integration.
- Generate comprehensive commissioning reports, handover documentation, and provide training to operational staff.
- Monitor system performance post-commissioning and provide ongoing technical support as required.
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commissioning industrial equipment, automation systems, or power plants.
- Strong understanding of P&ID's, electrical schematics, control logic, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manuals.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with PLC/DCS programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, ABB).
- Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, IEC 61511).
- Project management experience or certification.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is a plus.
