Job Description
Join Toll Group as a Freight Handler on the Gold Coast! This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals seeking stable morning work, Monday to Friday. As a Freight Handler, you will be a vital part of our logistics team, responsible for the efficient and safe movement of freight within our depot. No prior experience in freight handling is necessary as full training will be provided to the right candidate. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are physically capable and have a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently from trucks and containers.
- Sort and stage freight according to destination and delivery routes.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment (training provided).
- Perform general warehouse duties, including cleaning and organisation.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and quality checks as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25kg) and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (not essential, but beneficial).
- Current forklift license (LF Class) (not essential, but advantageous).
- Basic understanding of freight handling procedures.
