Job Description
Are you a cat lover with a passion for hospitality? The Purrfect Paws Cafe is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Cat Café Host / Barista to join our friendly team. This unique role combines front-of-house duties with the special responsibility of ensuring the well-being of our beloved cats. You’ll be the welcoming face of our café, serving delicious beverages and light snacks, all while helping to maintain a calm and clean environment for our feline residents and human guests. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals eager to start a career in hospitality or animal care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests, explaining café rules and cat welfare guidelines.
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages (coffee, tea, etc.) and light snacks.
- Process customer orders and payments accurately using a POS system.
- Monitor the cats' well-being, ensuring a peaceful environment and adherence to house rules by guests.
- Engage with guests, sharing information about our cats and our mission.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in both the café and cat lounge areas.
- Assist with cat care duties, including feeding, litter box maintenance, and playtime, as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues with a friendly and professional approach.
- Open and close the café according to established procedures.
