Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Boat Yard Hands to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in an outdoor, hands-on environment and have a keen interest in marine activities. You will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our busy boatyard, assisting with the movement, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of various boats. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone looking to start or further their career in the marine industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the safe launching, hauling, and moving of boats using specialist equipment.
- Performing general maintenance tasks such as hull cleaning, antifouling, sanding, and painting.
- Ensuring the boatyard is kept clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
- Assisting skilled technicians with repairs and refits as required.
- Operating basic power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conducting basic checks on boats and reporting any issues.
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet operational deadlines.
Required Skills
- A strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Reliability and punctuality.

- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience operating machinery (e.g., forklifts, tractors) is a plus, but not essential.
