Job Description
Are you passionate about cars and eager to start a career in the automotive industry? Ballarat Shine Auto Detailing is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Car Detailing Assistant to join our growing team. This is an entry-level position, and no prior experience is required. We offer comprehensive, on-the-job training to equip you with all the skills needed to become a professional car detailer. If you’re reliable, have an eye for detail, and are ready to learn, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform exterior car washing, waxing, and polishing using appropriate techniques and products.
- Execute interior cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, carpet shampooing, dashboard cleaning, and window polishing.
- Apply protective coatings and sealants to vehicle surfaces.
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and address any missed spots or imperfections.
- Maintain detailing equipment and ensure the workspace is clean and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Assist senior detailers with more complex tasks as needed.
- Learn and adapt to new detailing techniques and product applications.
Required Skills
- No prior car detailing experience required; full training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, and lift as required for detailing tasks.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- A valid driver's license is preferred for moving vehicles on-site.
Preferred Qualifications
- A genuine interest in automobiles and their care.
- Basic understanding of cleaning products and techniques.
- Previous experience in a customer service role is a plus.
