Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Part-time Deli Assistant to join our supermarket team in Bowen. This role offers day work hours, perfect for those looking for flexible part-time employment. As a Deli Assistant, you will be an integral part of our fresh food department, ensuring our customers receive the highest quality products and excellent service. Full training will be provided to the right candidate, so no prior deli experience is necessary – just a great attitude and a willingness to learn!
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection and inquiries.
- Prepare and present deli products, including slicing meats and cheeses to customer specifications.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in all aspects of deli operations.
- Rotate stock and ensure shelves are well-stocked, clean, and appealing.
- Operate deli equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Assist with inventory control and waste management.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
