Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Remote Content Moderator, playing a critical role in maintaining the safety and integrity of our social media platforms. This is a 100% remote position offering flexible hours, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home in Staten Island, NY. You will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content, ensuring compliance with our community guidelines, and making swift, accurate decisions to uphold a positive user experience. We provide comprehensive training to equip you with the tools and knowledge necessary to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Review user-generated content (e.g., posts, images, videos, comments) across various platforms to ensure compliance with community standards and policies.
- Make timely and accurate decisions on content moderation actions, including removal, escalation, or approval.
- Identify and analyze emerging content trends and policy violations.
- Collaborate with team leads and policy experts to clarify guidelines and improve moderation processes.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive content.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the moderation team.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
- Comfortable reviewing sensitive or graphic content as needed
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and internet navigation
