Job Description
Are you looking for a new career path with excellent prospects and comprehensive training? DRL Coachlines is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Trainee Bus Drivers in Gander. No prior experience is required! We are committed to developing talent from the ground up, which is why we will fully fund your Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) licence training. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career, transporting passengers safely and comfortably across our beautiful province. Successful candidates will undergo an intensive training program, equipping them with all the necessary skills and qualifications to become a professional bus driver.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all required training modules for the PCV licence.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently once qualified.
- Provide excellent customer service to all passengers.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic operational checks of the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and passengers.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a medical examination and drug screening.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and passenger well-being.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- No prior bus driving experience required – full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service roles.
- Familiarity with the Gander area and surrounding regions.
