Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Procurement Director to lead our strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives based at our Garland, TX headquarters. This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, from supplier selection and contract negotiation to risk management and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record of driving efficiency and innovation within complex supply chains. This position offers sponsorship for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
- Negotiate high-value contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and cost savings.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring performance, quality, and compliance.
- Implement best practices in sourcing, supplier management, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to understand needs and drive value.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers, technologies, and market trends.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of procurement policies and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and systems.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management expertise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and procurement software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or relevant advanced degree.
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with international procurement and global supply chain networks.
- Prior experience working with sponsorship requirements for employees.
