Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our prestigious culinary team. As a Chef de Partie, you will be a vital link in our kitchen operations, responsible for managing a specific section (e.g., Saucier, Garde Manger, Entremetier) and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation are consistently met. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a designated kitchen section, ensuring all dishes are prepared to Pasqualino's exacting standards.
  • Prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff within your section, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels for your section, place orders, and minimize waste through efficient mise en place and portion control.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP) at all times.
  • Contribute to menu development and innovation, bringing creative ideas to the culinary team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
  • Collaborate effectively with all kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef de Partie in a high-volume, fine dining restaurant.
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, knife skills, and food preparation.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
  • Passion for fine cuisine and commitment to culinary excellence.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or relevant professional certification.
  • Experience with international cuisines, particularly Italian fine dining.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior kitchen staff.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are an asset.
