Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Security Officers to join our team, specializing in film set location security for overnight shifts. This is an exciting opportunity to work behind the scenes in the vibrant film industry, ensuring the safety and security of valuable equipment, sets, and personnel during critical non-filming hours. The role demands keen observational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to act calmly and effectively in various situations. You will be an integral part of maintaining a secure environment for high-profile productions, often involving unique and challenging locations within the Harrow area.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of film set locations, ensuring all areas are secure and free from unauthorized access.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems, responding promptly to any alerts or suspicious activities.
- Control access points, verifying credentials for all individuals entering and exiting the premises during your shift.
- Protect valuable film equipment, props, and set structures from theft, damage, or vandalism.
- Maintain detailed daily logs and incident reports, accurately documenting observations and actions taken.
- Respond to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches, following established protocols.
- Liaise effectively with production staff, local authorities, and emergency services as required.
- Enforce site rules and regulations to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Provide a visible security presence to deter potential threats and maintain order.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Door Supervisor licence.
- Proven experience in a security role, preferably in a corporate, event, or site security setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality for overnight shifts.
- Basic IT proficiency for report writing and surveillance monitoring.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid qualification (e.g., First Aid at Work).
- Experience working in a film, television, or entertainment environment.
- Full clean UK driving licence and access to own transport.
- Knowledge of local area and potential security risks.
