Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Actuary or Actuarial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Iowa City. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, pricing, and analysis of insurance products.
- Perform actuarial calculations, projections, and financial modeling.
- Prepare and present reports on actuarial findings, risks, and recommendations to management.
- Support the development and maintenance of actuarial models and tools.
- Participate in experience studies, reserving, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including underwriting, claims, finance, and product development.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and actuarial best practices.
- Contribute to process improvements and innovation within the actuarial department.
Required Skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Commitment to pursuing actuarial credentials (e.g., ASA, FSA).
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful completion of at least one SOA/CAS actuarial exam.
- Familiarity with actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, GGY AXIS) or programming languages (e.g., R, Python, VBA).
- Previous internship or relevant work experience in an actuarial or financial services setting.
