Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Aircraft Refueler / Line Service Technician at our Salisbury, MD location. This is an entry-level position perfect for those eager to start a career in aviation. We provide comprehensive, paid training to ensure you have all the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this vital role. As a Line Service Tech, you will be crucial to the safe and efficient operation of the airport ramp, providing essential services to a diverse range of aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently perform aircraft fueling and defueling operations in accordance with company and regulatory procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to pilots, crew, and passengers.
- Operate and maintain ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, fuel trucks, and de-icing equipment.
- Marshal aircraft to and from parking positions, ensuring clear communication and safe movement.
- Assist with aircraft towing, parking, and tie-down procedures.
- Conduct daily quality control checks on fuel trucks and storage facilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the ramp and in equipment storage areas.
- Respond to and report any safety hazards or operational discrepancies promptly.
- Learn and adhere to all airport, company, and FAA safety regulations and protocols.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- No prior experience in aviation or fueling is required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working in an outdoor environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with vehicle maintenance.
- Prior customer service experience.
