Job Description

Menzies Aviation is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as an Aircraft Refueler / Line Service Tech in Nottingham. This entry-level position requires no prior experience, as comprehensive full training will be provided to ensure you become proficient in all aspects of aircraft fueling and ground support operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient turnaround of aircraft, working directly on the airport ramp. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently refuel various types of aircraft in accordance with Menzies Aviation and regulatory procedures.
- Operate and maintain specialized ground support equipment, including fuel trucks and other ramp vehicles.
- Conduct pre-check and post-check inspections of equipment to ensure operational readiness and safety.
- Perform line service duties, including marshaling aircraft, baggage handling, and other ground support tasks as needed.
- Monitor fuel levels, record data accurately, and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with flight crews, ground control, and other team members.
- Respond promptly to aircraft service requests and adapt to changing operational demands.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on the airport ramp.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Airside Driving Permit (ADP) and Airside Pass.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to strict procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment, subject to various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Must be able to pass a rigorous background check, including a 5-year verifiable work history and criminal record check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor work.
- Experience operating heavy machinery or specialized vehicles.
- First Aid certification.
- An interest in aviation and aircraft operations.
