Job Description
We are seeking vigilant and dedicated Airport Security Officers to join our team at Gloucestershire Airport. As an Airport Security Officer, you will be on the front line of airport safety, responsible for ensuring the security of passengers, staff, and airport facilities. This role involves comprehensive training to equip you with the skills needed to perform security checks, monitor surveillance, and respond to security incidents in accordance with aviation regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual searches.
- Monitor surveillance systems and conduct regular patrols of airport premises to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Respond effectively and professionally to alarms, security breaches, and emergency situations.
- Provide clear and concise instructions and assistance to passengers regarding security procedures.
- Ensure strict adherence to all aviation security regulations and airport policies.
- Complete detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- Work collaboratively with airline staff, ground handling teams, and emergency services.

- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and obtain a valid Airside Pass.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security, customer service, or public-facing role.
- First Aid qualification.
- Knowledge of aviation security regulations (e.g., DfT AVSEC requirements).
- Full UK driving licence.
