Job Description

As an AO5 Senior Admin Officer within the Justice & Attorney General cluster, you will play a crucial role in providing high-level administrative, executive, and project support to ensure the efficient operation of a key unit in Albury. This position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for contributing to the seamless delivery of justice services, supporting senior staff, and upholding the department’s commitment to public service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior management, including diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking.
  • Manage correspondence, prepare reports, presentations, and other critical documentation.
  • Coordinate projects, track progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Act as a key liaison point for internal and external stakeholders, handling inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records and information management systems.
  • Assist with budget tracking, expense reconciliation, and procurement processes.
  • Mentor and support junior administrative staff as required.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a senior administrative or executive support role.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and professional correspondence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and information management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising initiative and discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience working within a government or legal environment.
  • Knowledge of NSW Government administrative policies and procedures.
