Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Auto Body Shop Sweeper to join our team in Tucson. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. As a Sweeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our auto body shop remains organized and free of debris, contributing directly to the safety and efficiency of our operations. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily sweeping and mopping of the shop floor and work areas to maintain cleanliness.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste materials properly.
- Organize and put away tools, equipment, and supplies as instructed.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Assist with basic upkeep of exterior grounds, including sweeping sidewalks and entrances.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to management.
- Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Support other team members with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth shop operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic shop setting.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic understanding of shop safety practices.
- Previous experience in a similar industrial or automotive environment (not required, but a plus).
- A valid driver's license.
