Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Auto Body Technician / Panel Beater to join our state-of-the-art body shop in Farnborough. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to become a vital part of our team, working with luxury vehicles and ensuring repairs meet our rigorous quality standards. We offer Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for eligible international candidates, demonstrating our commitment to attracting top talent globally. You will be responsible for carrying out vehicle body repairs, panel replacement, and alignment with precision and efficiency, maintaining strict adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and assess vehicle body damage accurately.
- Perform panel beating, welding, filling, and sanding to restore vehicle bodywork.
- Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components as required for repair.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and company quality checks.
- Work efficiently to meet repair deadlines and maintain productivity targets.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding repair progress.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Technician or Panel Beater.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques and methodologies.
- Proficiency in welding (MIG/TIG), spot welding, and panel alignment.
- Ability to use body repair tools and equipment effectively and safely.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Valid UK driving license or ability to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Body Repair.
- Experience with luxury vehicle brands.
- Manufacturer training certifications (e.g., BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi).
- ATA (Automotive Technician Accreditation) qualification.
- Familiarity with modern vehicle construction materials and repair techniques.
