Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and empathetic Law Office Assistant to join our busy Bankruptcy department. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our office, ensuring accurate data management, and providing exceptional support to our legal team and clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, with a strong emphasis on data entry and direct client communication. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a desire to work in a dynamic legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of client information, case details, and legal documents into our case management system.
  • Manage and organize physical and electronic client files, ensuring confidentiality and accessibility.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing updates via phone and email.
  • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and forms under the direction of attorneys.
  • Assist with the preparation of court filings and ensure all necessary documentation is complete and submitted on time.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring a well-stocked and functional workspace.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys and paralegals as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent data entry speed and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
