Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Blockchain Developer / Web3 Engineer to join our cutting-edge team in New Orleans. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to transformative projects at the intersection of enterprise solutions and decentralized technologies. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and secure blockchain applications and smart contracts. This role involves working with diverse clients to integrate Web3 solutions into their existing infrastructure, providing technical expertise, and driving the adoption of decentralized ledger technologies. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche).
- Develop and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) using Web3 frameworks and libraries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on secure coding practices and robust architecture.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to best practices in blockchain development.
- Research and evaluate new blockchain technologies, protocols, and tools.
- Work closely with solution architects and product managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Troubleshoot and debug blockchain-related issues, optimizing performance and security.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Solidity and other smart contract languages.
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals (cryptography, consensus mechanisms, decentralized networks).
- Experience with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and related tools (Truffle, Hardhat, Ganache).
- Familiarity with Web3.js or Ethers.js for front-end interaction with smart contracts.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with layer 2 scaling solutions (e.g., Optimism, Arbitrum).
- Knowledge of other blockchain platforms (e.g., Hyperledger Fabric, Corda, Polkadot).
- Familiarity with IPFS, Filecoin, or other decentralized storage solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
- Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
