Job Description
We are seeking a talented and innovative Blockchain Developer / Web3 Engineer to join our dynamic technology team in Cleveland, OH. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects, designing and implementing decentralized applications (dApps), smart contracts, and other blockchain-based solutions for our diverse client portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blockchain protocols, smart contract development, and Web3 technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts on various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon, Solana).
- Build and maintain decentralized applications (dApps) using Web3 technologies, integrating with front-end user interfaces.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, architectural design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and contribute to the overall technical strategy.
- Research and evaluate new blockchain technologies, protocols, and tools to drive innovation.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex blockchain issues, ensuring high performance and reliability of solutions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Solidity and experience with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible chains.
- Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, cryptography, and decentralized systems.
- Experience with Web3.js, Ethers.js, or similar libraries for interacting with blockchain nodes.
- Familiarity with development tools like Truffle, Hardhat, Ganache, or Remix.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with unit testing and integration testing for smart contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other blockchain platforms such as Polkadot, Cosmos, NEAR, or Avalanche.
- Knowledge of layer 2 scaling solutions (e.g., Optimism, Arbitrum).
- Familiarity with IPFS, Filecoin, or other decentralized storage solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155) and their implementations.
- Previous experience in a consulting environment or client-facing role.
