Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Boat Groomer to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, have an eye for detail, and are passionate about maintaining the aesthetic appeal of marine vessels. As a Boat Groomer, you will be responsible for a range of detailing and cleaning tasks on yachts and boats located at various coastal marinas across the UK. This role requires travel to different locations, often involving early starts and flexible hours, but offers the immense reward of working in beautiful seaside environments. Full training will be provided on specific marine detailing techniques and products, making this a great role for someone looking to build a career in the marine services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough exterior and interior cleaning of various types of boats and yachts.
  • Wash, wax, polish, and buff boat surfaces to a high standard.
  • Clean and maintain decks, hulls, superstructures, and brightwork.
  • Vacuum, clean, and sanitise interior cabins, galleys, and heads.
  • Apply protective coatings and treatments as required.
  • Inspect vessels for damage and report findings to supervisors.
  • Handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Adhere to company standards and environmental regulations during all operations.
  • Travel to various coastal locations across the UK as per project requirements.

  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively.

  • Familiarity with marine environments or boat components.
  • Knowledge of different cleaning products and their appropriate use on various surfaces.
  • First Aid certification.
