Job Description

Are you an ambitious and motivated individual looking to kickstart your career in business development and sales? KPMG Canada is offering an exciting Business Development Internship designed to provide comprehensive sales training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in a fast-paced professional services environment. This role offers a competitive base hourly wage plus commission opportunities, rewarding your efforts and contributions. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in comprehensive sales and business development training programs.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
  • Assist in lead generation activities and qualification processes.
  • Support senior business development managers in client outreach and meeting preparation.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of KPMG's services and solutions.
  • Contribute to the creation of sales materials and presentations.
  • Document interactions and progress in CRM systems.
  • Attend client meetings and presentations as an observer to learn best practices.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn and engage.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented attitude.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn about sales methodologies and professional services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Marketing, Sales, Economics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, or volunteer roles demonstrating communication skills.
  • Understanding of CRM software is a plus but not required.
  • A passion for building relationships and achieving targets.
