Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Refuse Collector and play a vital role in keeping Woking clean and green. This essential position involves the safe and efficient collection of household and commercial waste and recycling. You will be an integral part of a crew, working outdoors in all weather conditions to provide a crucial service to the local community. We are looking for reliable, physically fit individuals who are committed to teamwork and public service. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with the skills and knowledge required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect household and commercial waste and recycling from designated routes.
- Operate specialist collection equipment safely and efficiently (with training).
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues to complete rounds.
- Interact courteously and professionally with members of the public.
- Report any issues or hazards encountered during collection rounds to supervisors.
- Ensure proper segregation of recyclable materials where required.
