Job Description
Join Eagers Automotive as a dedicated Car Detailer at our bustling Dandenong dealership. This full-time, on-site role offers stable and ongoing work, playing a crucial part in preparing new and used vehicles to the highest standards for our valued customers. Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean, wash, and detail the exterior of vehicles, including polishing, waxing, and applying protective coatings.
- Perform comprehensive interior detailing, including vacuuming, shampooing upholstery, cleaning windows, and conditioning surfaces.
- Inspect vehicles for imperfections and ensure all detailing work meets the stringent dealership quality standards before handover.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe detailing bay, ensuring all equipment and tools are properly stored and maintained.
- Manage detailing product inventory, ensuring efficient use of supplies and reporting needs for replenishment.
- Operate detailing equipment such as buffers, extractors, and pressure washers safely and effectively.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of car cleaning products, detailing techniques, and automotive care.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued member of a fast-paced team.
- Possession of a valid Australian driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) in automotive detailing, car washing, or a similar role within a dealership or professional detailing centre.
- Familiarity with various paint finishes and appropriate care methods to prevent damage.
- Experience operating professional detailing equipment (e.g., rotary buffers, orbital polishers).
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on new detailing products and techniques.
