Job Description
Are you a friendly and organised individual looking to join a dynamic retail team? Tesco is seeking a dedicated Cashier to provide exceptional customer service at our Coventry store. In this role, you will be the face of our company, responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently, assisting customers with their shopping needs, and maintaining a tidy checkout area. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary. We value a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the till system.
- Handle cash, card, and other payment methods.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering queries and assisting with product location.
- Scan items and ensure correct pricing.
- Maintain a clean and organised checkout area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those for age-restricted sales.
- Assist with other store duties as required, such as restocking shelves during quiet periods.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic numeracy skills.
