Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bellevue, WA. This is a unique opportunity for an internationally talented individual as we offer full visa sponsorship and comprehensive relocation assistance to successful candidates. You will lead and contribute to the design and delivery of complex civil engineering projects, ranging from urban development to large-scale infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while managing project timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and transportation infrastructure.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
- Perform complex calculations and analyses for various civil engineering components.
- Oversee project teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, representing AECOM's expertise and values.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the U.S. or eligibility for reciprocity.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar design software.
- Strong understanding of stormwater management, grading, utilities, and transportation design principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience with large-scale public infrastructure projects.
- LEED AP certification or similar sustainability credentials.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
