Job Description
Are you passionate about craft beer and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others? Total Wine & More in Tulsa is seeking an enthusiastic Craft Beer / Bottle Shop Advisor to join our team for evening shifts. You will be the go-to person for customers exploring our extensive craft beer selection, providing recommendations, answering questions, and creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. This role is perfect for someone who loves engaging with people and has a genuine interest in the evolving world of craft beer. Full training on our product range and customer service standards will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage customers with a friendly and approachable demeanor, offering assistance and recommendations on craft beer selections.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge regarding various beer styles, breweries, and new arrivals.
- Ensure the beer section is clean, organized, and well-stocked, including proper rotation of products.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock counts.
- Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently, handling transactions and managing customer inquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a retail or customer service environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Genuine enthusiasm for craft beer and a willingness to learn more.
- Ability to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bottle shop, brewery, or specialty food/beverage retail.
- Basic knowledge of different beer styles, brewing processes, and food pairings.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
