Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and discreet Crime Scene Cleaner to join our dedicated team. This critical role involves the meticulous clean-up and remediation of sensitive sites, often following traumatic events, under public sector contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for restoring these environments to a safe and habitable state, adhering to strict health and safety protocols, and demonstrating the utmost professionalism and empathy. This is a physically demanding role that requires resilience, attention to detail, and a commitment to public service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning, disinfection, and decontamination of crime scenes, accident sites, and other biohazard situations.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous waste, bodily fluids, and contaminated materials in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
• Utilize specialized cleaning agents, equipment, and techniques to effectively remediate affected areas.
• Document all cleaning procedures, materials used, and disposal methods accurately.
• Interact with law enforcement, emergency services, and public officials with professionalism and discretion.
• Operate and maintain company vehicles and specialized equipment.
• Adhere strictly to all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols.
• Provide compassionate and respectful service to clients and communities during challenging times.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a physically demanding role, preferably in cleaning, restoration, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols.
• Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces.
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification, or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• High level of discretion, empathy, and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in biohazard remediation, crime scene cleanup, or hazardous waste management.
• Certifications in Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) or Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER).
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Associate’s degree or relevant technical training.
